Wednsday 25 June (Day 17) =)

Today was, sadly, my last day of 17 days of difference. I did an extra special deed today. I did EVERYTHING to do with...
Dinner! I cooked it, lay the table for it, I poured the drinks and lastly but certainly not least I cut and dished up...
PUDDING!!!!!!!!---------------------->
I did a great deed because it meant that my parents got to relax when they got home instead of having to worry about dinner. My parents were proud of me and so was I!!!!

Tuesday 24 June (Day 16)

Today my good deed was at home again because I was home sick- again. I stood up and my dog started attacking my feet for fun. Although I couldn't be bothered playing with him, I still did for a little bit. I know that this was a good deed because my dog let out some steam and could have a bit of fun for a change. I felt good and happy because I had been in bed for ages and getting a bit of energy out was good. Now my dog is real happy!

Monday 23 June (Day 15)

Toady my good deed was at home because I stayed home sick. I was lying on the couch and my cat came wanting to sleep on the couch. Instead of kicking her off, I let her sleep on the couch. I know that this was a good deed because my cat was happy and I wasn't selfish by not letting her sleep on the couch because I let her sleep on the couch. I felt good after doing this because I got to cuddle up with my favorite cat while I was sick.

Sunday 22 June (Day 14)

Today my good deed was when my sister was watching a movie. I was doing my Science Fair and I was sitting on the floor and I was in the way of her and she couldn't see the T.V. She asked me to move and I did, even though I didn't want to move. I know that this was a good deed because she could see the T.V. I felt good because she was happy that she could see the T.V.

Saturday 21 June (Day 13)

Today my good deed was at home. My mum was collecting rubbish and when she came into my room she saw how messy my chest of drawers was. She asked me to tidy it up and without complaining- like I normally would, I just started tidying it. I know that this was a good deed because my mum was proud of me and my room was tidier. I feel glad because now my room looks better.

Friday 20 June (Day 12)

Today my good deed was just before we went to see the production of 'Grease'. My friend Yolanda asked me if she could have a throaty because she had a sore throat. I didn't have many left but I gave her one anyway. I know that I did a good deed because she didn't have a sore throat anymore and I felt good about giving her one because she was thankful.

Thursday 19 June (Day 11)

Today my good deed was at school. It was at the end of lunch and I saw something on the challenge course. I picked it up and it was a $2 coin. So when I got back to class after lunch time I told my teacher and he just said that $2 doesn't matter and that I could keep it. I know that I did a good deed because I was honest to tell the truth. I felt proud of myself because I told the truth before keeping it, even though I still got to keep the $2 coin.

Wednesday 18 June (Day 10)

Today my good deed was at school. Mr Smith came into our class and asked if I could help him out at the disco tonight. He wanted me to video the school band on the stage. So I just said "yes" even though I didn't really want to do it. I know that I did a good deed because Mr Smith was very happy that I decided to do it. I feel glad that I agreed and don't really mind anymore.

Tuesday 17 June (Day 9)

Today my good deed was after dinner. Out of no where I just decided to make muffins for my family. I think this was a good deed because I gave up my time for my family to have a good snack. Although they didn't turn out well my family was still very appreciative. I feel good and have had heaps of fun!

Monday 16 June (Day 8)

Today my good deed was at school. I went to Media Crew at period 5 and I was about to make a clip. When Samantha asked me if she could help me. Even though I kind of wanted to make it on my own, I still said "Yup! You can help me." I know that this was a good deed because she seemed really happy to be able to help. I felt good because she was happy and it was a good thing that I said yes because I did actually need help!

Sunday 15 June (Day 7)

Today my good deed was at church. We were having a competition game and we had to memorize two verses and where they came from in the bible. The first person to recite them word for word was the winner. So I was the winner of the competition and my prize was 2 bags of lollies. So, instead of keeping all the lollies for myself, I shared them with my friend. I know I did a good thing because it made more than one person happy. I feel happy that I shared because I am normally really selfish and keep everything for myself. There wasn't really any difference because I still got my lollies but others got it too!

Saturday 14 June (Day 6)

Today is my first weekend day of 17 days of difference. My good deed was at home. My mum really wanted a cup of coffee so she said to me, "Please put the kettle on." Instead of complaining like I normally would, I just said "O.K mum." And got up and put it on. I know that my mum was happy because it meant that she didn't have to get up to put the kettle on and then sit down and then get up to make the coffee. I felt happy because it meant that my mum and I only had to get up one time each and basically worked together to make the coffee!

Friday 13 June (Day 5)

Today I went to my youth evening and everyone was pushing and shoving to get marshmallows to roast for our supper. So I stood back and waited until my turn patiently. I know that what I did was a good was a good thing because it meant there was less pushing and shoving and less likely for someone to get hurt. I felt good that I didn't push and shove because it didn't make a difference of the amount of marshmallows I got anyway!

Thursday 12 June (Day 4)

Today my good deed was at Drama classes. We had to get into a line for a game and everyone wanted to be first. So what I did was that I went to the back of the line and let everyone go in front of me. Everyone was happy because they weren't last and didn't have to wait so long. I felt glad that I did something good, even though I had to go last.

Wednesday 11 June (Day 3)

Today for my good deed I did an unusual thing. (Not really) Anyways, I did a good thing as my family never wants to do it. I poured our drinks to have with dinner. Every one in my family thinks of it like a chore so I did something that every one appreciates. I feel glad that I did it because my family was happy and got to have drinks. Next time know one wants to pour them, I will.

Tuesday 10th June (Day 2)

Today my good deed was when my mum needed help. She asked someone to take the washing off the line. So, without complaining, I got up and took the washing down. Then, after that I just folded the washing without my mum even having to ask. I know that I helped my mum because she didn't have to take the washing down. I feel proud that I did it without complaining and I am happy because my mum was thankful.

Monday 9th June (Day 1)

Today my good deed was after dinner. My sister had the duty to pack the dishwasher and instead of me just leaving my plate for her to pack into I just put my plate in. I know that I helped her out because it meant that there were less dishes for her to pack into the dishwasher. I felt glad that I helped her out and I will try to do it every time.

17 days of difference is a project that we are doing for school. Each day within 17 days we must do something as a good citizen and then write about it. It is because we are learning about good citizens and how a good citizen would act. Even if it is the tiniest thing, like making a cup of coffee it is still a good deed!
